Pinkalicious!

I have to confess that I think I have the best friends in the entire world!! My friends decided to do a baby shower for me and it was amazing! The theme was Pinkalicous (a cute book about a little girl that eats too many pink cupcakes and turns pink). And I think that after all the pink gifts, pink decorations, pink cupcakes, pink sandwich rolls, pink fruit dip, pink drink and grapes and watermellon-I think we all could have turned pink too :)

I am so blessed by good friends, wonderful family and an amazing ward family. I can't believe how many people came and the darling gifts that I received for Alexys. There were times during the shower that I had to hold back the tears, I recognize how my Heavenly Father has blessed me and my family. I'm so grateful to live where I live and to be blessed with the family and friends that I have. Needless to say, I am now ready for little Alexys Marie to come....and I can't wait!!

2 fishing licenses - $24...worms - $4...the cost of memories - PRICELESS!

I've been aching for some good 'ole fishing and had mentioned that to Tim numerous times. Who would have thought the day he decided we should go, I wouldn't be feeling good. But, I stuck it out and we decided to venture on an evening fishing trip with some friends to the Benson Marina. Not with the intention to catch a huge fish, but just to catch something. The kids love to catch anything! But I have to mention that we stopped at the grocery store to buy licenses and ran into my parents while we were in there. My dad jokingly made a comment to Tim about $24 sure being an expensive price for a cat fish and Tim's response, "it's worth all the memories". I have a great husband and my kids have a great Daddy!! Five years of memories...

Doing daycare has definately got it's ups and downs...but this last week made me reflect on all of the good times and good memories that I have had. Two of my daycare girls (I call them my girls) have grown up and are old enough that they don't need childcare anymore. They had their last day in my home. Katie was 18 months old when she started and Stephanie was 5. I have come to love these two little girls and feel like they are a part of our family. They will be missed a lot.

Bloomington Lake

August 23rd, 2009
We went on a hike up to Bloomington Lake with Tim's family and tried to take in some awesome scenery. Unfortunately, as soon as we got there it started to sprinkle, then rain, then downpour!! By the time we got back, we were all completely soaked. We ate our picnic lunch in the Durango on the way home but still had a great time.
